Joshua Nelson - Recruiting Coordinator
Josh Nelson provides a valuable service to University Placement USA in the area of recruitment.  Raised in Brazil, Josh was recruited to play soccer after high school at Hope International University (CA), where he graduated in 1999.  He understands the recruiting process and the concerns that international students have when considering studying in the USA.  His business background, cross-cultural experience, and keen interest in working with student-athletes, are essential to successfully recruiting international students. 

Sarah Nelson - Academic Adviser
Sarah Nelson is the British component of the University Placement USA team. She completed her entire education in the UK, gaining her degree in English Literature and Linguistics from Lancaster University in 2000. After graduating, Sarah spent some time in West Africa before settling in London where she worked in publishing for a number of years. In 2005 she moved to Brazil for two and a half years where she learned Portuguese and taught English as a Foreign Language.  Sarah is passionate about both education and sport, and is committed to bringing the two together.  Her familiarity with the UK education system and knowledge of the American system, as well as her international experience and connections, are of great benefit to University Placement USA.

Philippe Nelson – Recruiter
Phil Nelson is the Brazilian component of the University Placement USA team. Phil is based in Campinas, Brazil where he runs the Brazilian office, and is responsible for recruiting and assessing possible candidates from that region for placement in the USA.   Phil was also recruited to play soccer at Hope International University (CA) upon graduating from high school in Brazil.  He too understands the recruiting process and necessary steps for entrance into American universities.
